White Rum

Just like you can’t be sad when you listen to banjo, you can’t frown when you are handed a mojito. That luscious herbal-meets-sweet/tart mixture with a bubbly fizz on top is magic in the full heat of the summer months. In terms of muddling, the limes take a bit of pressure to release their juice and blend with the sugar, but the mint leaves can be pressed gently to coax, not pulverize their aromatics. Awhile back, we took to grating a bit of lime rind on top of the drink, so that you are hit with an extra whiff of citrus as you drink.
